Photo Restoration (Examples)

Everybody has old photographs; they are a window on the past, holding precious memories and reminding us of the special times we have had, and are always a joy to revisit and share with family and friends.

Unfortunately over time prints are susceptible to fading and deterioration caused by many sources, primarily indirect sunlight. Heat and moisture can also cause paper to breakdown and encourage fungus growth. Handling your photos, no matter how careful you are can result in creases, scratches and stains.

Why not bring your memories back to life . . .

. . . by having your old photographs digitally restored with no further damage to the original.

After scanning your photograph I can correct colour casts and revive fading in old photos by adjusting
the contrast and brightness. Detail can be enhanced to sharpen poor focus, while repairs can be made to scratches, creases and tears. Mould spots/patches and staining can be easily removed, also missing sections can be recreated and torn photographs re-pieced back together.

Every photograph has its own story and that's the same with the restoration. Depending on the amount of damage or detail required to be enhanced. Prices start from 20 and all restorations are presented as an
8 x 6 print in a black mount. [Please click on photographs below to view in more detail].

Here the colour cast and fading was revived and all the dust, scratches and slight creases were removed

This passport size photograph is about 70 years old. It was of my Uncle Bertie, who unfortunately passed away at the age of 3. All the cracks, dust and scratches from the original photograph were moved
